TROUT IN TH E CLASSROOM
Trout in the Classroom is a nationwide program sponsored by Potomac Valley Fly Fisherman Chapter of the organization Trout Unlimited. Our school receives 125-150 trout eggs in December/January to care for and then release the fingerlings in late April. Students may simply contact Mr. Adamiak if they wish to participate. Sign ups begin in December.
Students set up the tanks, maintain water quality, test for Ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, pH, and feed the fish during Hawk Time. The tank is located in room B109.
Who knows, maybe one of these students will become an Ichthyologist!
